Was it actual henna or "henna colored"?Posted by Lauren on November 7, 2001 at 20:59:54: In reply to: HELP NEEDED!!! posted by wyldfyre on November 7, 2001 at 20:18:23: If it was actual henna powder, it will have to grow out. If youabsolutely hate it, brush your hair well and test the hair left in the brush with a commercial dye. It may be fine, or it may melt the hair and turn it green, or anywhere between. You don't know until you test it, which is why you do NOT put it on your head without this step. Henna and commercial dyes sometimes do not play well together. If it was a henna-colored rinse, or a commercial dye with henna in it, there will usually be a manufacturer's phone number for help that you can call for advice. If it's commercial (chemical) then you can PROBABLY dye over it. ASK FIRST. I'm not an expert on commercial dyes. Best of luck. : hi... : : I'm in a big need for help from a henna specialist, I used a not permanent henna : colorwash, the package said the color would come off after 6 washes. From the start I : didn't like the color on me (Irish Red) but I had good hope my old color would show up : again after 6 washes like the package said. I didn't and now its growing out, which I : hate cause my original color is lighter and it does look funny. Can anyone help, what : should I do, can I dye my hair in my own color? The reason I used this color wash was : because I didn't want any outgrow of dye, I just wanted to see how it would look on me... : I'm desperate "HELP"! : : WyldFyre~
