That's one : thing about NYC; prepare to walk, but there is good transit. Very true! We have yet to finalize a spot for the conference, but it will probably be downtown somewhere. We might even be able to have it in a hotel and work out a package where we get reduced room rates and some conference space. We'll let you know as things develop. All of the hotels (with the exception of 1 or 2 way up on the Upper West Side) are within 1/2 hour subway ride from downtown and some are even closer. As details develop I will give you much more information about local transportation, with maps etc. : : to EVERYONE, : : How about each of us planning to bring the tools we use? This is an excellent idea. We have put aside time each day for informal classes and I would like to see at least one of those periods devoted to demonstration of tools and techniques to give everyone the opportunity to learn new things and try news methods. I have been contacted by a few people who want to teach some other henna-related classes. As we finalize these speakers we will let you know. Again, all the "classes" apart from the ones taught by our own CCJ will be informal, more like group discussions/demonstrations with a mediator to keep things rolling. Suggestions and volunteers are welcome. Please contact me at the email above.
