I've had reactions to clove oil when I used to use it in my paste.
However, it was a localized redness with sensitivity to heat (hot
shower), not a whole body itchy swelling reaction. I've pretty much
discovered that people can be allergic to almost anything, but this
was my experience with clove EO.
