Fat just sort of sits there, not metabolizing, not moving. It is a good insulator, and makes a good hug padding ... but it doesn't have heat as a byproduct of just woobling when you walk. It's not quite that simple, though ... I've seen beautiful henna stains on large women, some of the best! Some big ladies and gentlemen run HOT (excellent thermal mass? Metabolizing large meals?) and many thin people have poor stains because they're always lizardy cold! For the most part, when I touch a person's skin I can guess what the take will be .... if they're warm-skinned and the skin feels thick, dry and porous rather than thin, glassy or greasy, the stain will be good. Take all the time you need with your book! Perfection takes patience!
