hi,
any advice for bringing henna back in luggage? An earlier post from maybe a year ago mentioned being ready to offer a sample. Has anyone had luck or trouble bringing it into the US? In carry-on or checked luggage? Is it considered an "agricultural product" when they ask at customs, or is it processed enough to be considered a cosmetic?
What about the blunted syringes for application? I was going to leave them in their packaging in checked baggage?

you'll be fine bringing it in through customs. dried vegitations and herbs are not under the same agricultural restrictions as live wet fruits and so forth, as they don't carry transmitable bugs or bacteria on them. just say it's for your hair, and you're fine. as for the syringes, just make sure they are in your checked bag instead of your carry on.
when it comes to traveling international OR domestic, you're fine with most of this anyways. powders can be carried on your person, pastes and oils need to be in the checked bag because they're liquids.
