Bittersweet's Grand Opening
Posted on: 11/18/2009 07:07 PM
We had the official opening of the newest part of the TDL "empire" this evening..."Bittersweet's," a shop featuring artisan chocolates, cakes and pastries made by our new son-in-law. We has a proper grand opening and ribbon-cutting with local officials and members of the chamber of commerce.

Here are a few pictures: Bittersweet's Grand Opening

The dog statues are a nod in the direction of Stow OH, the city where we live and where Bittersweets is located. The bulldog is the mascot of the local schools and the symbolism wasn't lost on the city officials who came to the opening.

very very impressive!

I was wondering about the food colors especially the gold and silver, are they in a powder form and what are they called?

Are the sculptures made of Marzipan?

:)

The sculptures and the portraits are made of chocolate with various sugar pastes for superficial color.
