How do you create more complex designs? 
Sketch on the skin with aquarellable pencils first!

You can see traces of aquarellable pencil on this hand, underneath the henna.  Aquarellable pencil is a GREAT way to work out a complex design. When you start your henna work, you can sketch it out quickly and accurately, and the pencil won't bother your henna at all.  You can also use children's washable markers, or eyebrow pencil.
