Strange and Beautiful
Strange and Beautiful is one of those cds where you hear one song in an
ad or something, and it sends you on a long search for the cd, and when
you find it, you are not disappointed. The music is rather reminiscent
of Coldplay, but distinct all to its own. This, quite simply, is a cd
that you can loose yourself in. I really find it helps me focus on any
work I may be doing work while relaxing and soothing everyone else
around... it seems that everyone can find something they like in this
music. Aqualung |

Day One
Sarah Slean has got to be one of the more interesting sounds I have
heard recently. She is kind of pop, and kind of rock, and in many ways
she has invented a genre all to her own. Though it may take some time
to become entranced in her sound (at lest 3 weeks of trying for me)
suddenly something clicks, and you can never get enough. The lyrics may
not be what one may expect, but no mater where you are, or what you are
doing, her music seems to fit. Something that you never get tired of. Sarah Slean |

Putumayo presents: "Afro-Latin Party"
Simply said, this cd is fun. It has hot beats, and just makes you want
to tap along and grab the nearest thing and dance with it. It is simply
a wonderful cd to listen to again and again... I can't even begin to
think of how many times this has played during henna, cooking or even
while writing papers! It seems that if you are listening to something
fun, everything else seems to want to match it. Various Artists |

Amelie (Original Soundtrack)
Amelie. What can I say except it makes you heart dance, and your soul
twirl with emotion. This cd is alive, it makes you want to go and dance
on the streets and bath in the fountains, sing to the moon, and kiss a
stranger. How can it not be loved? Yann Tiersen |

The Hours (Original Soundtrack)
If anyone has seen this movie, they might wonder how the music can be
any more than emotional. But when you listen to this cd on its own, you
find that its hauntingly beautiful sounds, of solo piano and violin,
make it one of the most wonderful cds ever. Truthfully. There is never
any is dappointment when it come to this cd. I have given it as gifts
so many times in the past, and everyone always seems to love it! Philip Glass |
