 Indigo side effects?

After using the 2-steps for dyeing hair, which is using henna first, and then follow by indigo immediately, I have got headache and it last for more an hour. This don't happen if i just the 2 powders together and put on the hair for about 2 hours. Also the indigo only lies in the hair for about 30-45 minutes. The headache not only happens on me but alo on my friend.

There are two possible causes of the headache ...

Some people find the smell of indigo unpleasant, and that can cause a headache.

The weight of the indigo on the head puts pressure on the neck and that can cause a headache

There is nothing else in indigo that is going to cause a problem.

I got a bad headache for a few days after applying hanna with indigo (50/50) mix. Wonder why?

So more people can benefit from this topic it really should be discussed over at the hair Forum: Here

I'm going to lock this thread and leave it here for now, any future issues you have with indigo on hair should be posted to the hair Forum.

I'll just add that the indigo molecule is too large to pass through your skin.
