Hmm. I used camphor spirits (camphor in alcohol) and only a little
bit, and my batch went lumpy by day 2. I suspect the honey in my mix
helped keep the texture for a short while.
I think (and it's still only a guess at this point since I haven't
worked with the essential oil) that two things were working against
your henna ...too much camphor and too long of a wait.
You might try using a few drops of camphor a lemon-sugar mix to dab on
afterwards -- so it's diluted a bit -- it's pretty strong. I'm
planning on trying to use the camphor spirit as a prep before henna.
Just been too darn busy these days to sit down for 20 minutes!
