Camphor making lumps.....I think

Has anyone out there experienced lumpier henna as a result of adding
camphor? The henna paste is still good but when I mix it up it seems
to get lumpy more easily and then lumps don't go away like they
usually do when I mix it.

I have really finely sifted henna (it's true, I'm not just saying
that! CCJ can back me up) and I almost never have problems with
lumps.
