Henna is a desert plant, that when harvested and processed, still has a lot of desert left in it....it takes persistant sieving and sifting to get out all the sand and chaff, whic is present in even the finest henna. All that grit is the chief clogger-up of fine lines! If you can get all the crud out, and have patiently mixed your paste to a consistancy a little softer than toothpaste, you can use a yorker tip bottle, a home-made mehandi cone (the mini cake decorator made of freezer bags and scotch tape) or a diabetic syringe with the tip blunted. There is of course, one grand alternative....go for the fabulous designs from OTHER countries than Pakistan, with bold, meaningful (not just pretty) patterns, that have the advantages of fading a little more evenly, and being easy to touch up. There are patterns for averting the evil eye, ones for preventing your husband from messing around with other ladies...the list goes on forever....we've got patterns up every month at www.mehandi.com and we're happy to answer any questions.....
