I used New Skin outdoors...needs lots of ventilation...otherwise it gives me a headache. It's great for frilly work, and kids (or
 impatient grown-ups)
I use lemon-sugar for indoor gigs. RealLemon juice with lots of fast-dissolving sugar to make it syrupy -- and then I boil it to make it
really syrupy. SOmetimes I add clove oil to the cooled syryp. This
week-end I added camphor essential oil. The syrup keeps quite well in
the fridge. I pour a small amount into a soy sauce dish (very small
bowl) before doing my designs so that it's room temp by the time I;m
ready for it. Some people keep theirs warm in an aromatherapy burner
-- applying warm lemon-sugar feels heavenly!
Wraps are vital! Unless it's summer in Texas. Definitely peruse the archives. CHEck out the Henna Page's links -- TapDancin Lizard site, Rupal Pinto;s site are both packed with how-to
 info.
And practice on anything that doesn't move fast enough (with the exception of your cat who might not fully appreciate the beauty of a
 henna design)...
