In business or life, appoint a large person who is capable of a
convincing portrayal of a grim demeanour as a "bouncer". If someone
is deeply uncool, have the "bouncer" intervene and remove the person.
Size and grimness are very effective. Bouncers generally need to do
very little except escort the person out. Intervention will bewilder
the uncool person for just long enough to remove them easily. This
also eliminates the wierd and despicable little "oh honey you're so
cute when you're angry" thing.
Every so often, a nutter shows up ... in life, in business, in the
workplace, in the dorm. Just get them out of your face.
Don't worry overmuch about offending people. If you've just offended
the wrong person, you can always appologize later.
It will of course be a little secret between you and your designated
gorilla that he is an absolute pussycat and wouldn't ever harm anyone.
