: Hej, : Tonight, some friends and I will be heading out for First Night in : Mystic, CT - and at least two vendors will be offering "tattoos" (as : it's printed on the schedule). I'm not sure if these will be Temptu, : henna or the fake decal tattoos, but I fully expect to see a little : of the black henna somewhere in the area. Earlier this year, we had : a sail fest. I didn't go to it, but I talked with some teenagers at : one of my workshops about it. They told me they had some black henna : applied to them - no warning, no permission slips, no nothing. (I : gave my own version of the dangers of black henna rant at the : workshop and I think the girls will steer clear of it in the future.) : At any rate, I have henna on my hands - nothing much since I start my : student teaching on Tuesday (6th grade!) - but I do have one of : Catherine's wonderful peace patterns on my palm (thanks much to : Catherine for such beautiful patterns!). If there is any black henna : floating around, I'll be able to show what the traditional and safe : stuff looks like. : Happy New Year!!!! : Best, : Anne Hi, anne, I was at the Stamford 2000, no henna here. Too cold to vend outside. How was the Mystic First Night? I live in Stamford. I had my New year Henna design on. I tried to simulate fireworks. But ended up in a Egyptian motif. Happy New year Blessings, christine
