Cones of henna

When the henna is made up in the cones, does keeping it in the fridge
make it last longer?
In winter, I think I was getting a good couple of weeks out of a
cone, but now it's summer, a lovely 36-38deg C, it seems the henna
stains less after only a couple of days...
