Syringes ... time delay

I was finding that a small push on the plunger caused the paste to
come out for an extended time. (I was using a glue syringe with a
curved tip.) I guess that could be an advantage, but I didn't feel
like I had much control over either the dispensing or the tip motion.
(My hand was too far from the tip, and I had to use my fingers on the
grips rather than to guide the tip.) If you master it, do let us know
any tricks or insight!
