The best way to see if your henna still stains well is to mix a small
amount (use hot liquid if you want a quick test) and try it. If it
doesn't stain well, use it for other decorating (fabric, drum heads,
etc. - some you leave on, some you take of and iron to death), for
hair as Catherine says (do a color test on some stuff you pull from
your brush or comb), or for practice.
