Mixing henna and "The snowball effect".

Does it make any difference to the mix if the added liquids are hot,
cold or warm??
Also, If I have had henna powder in sealed containers, in the dark,
for 2 or maybee 3, hot, 30-38degrees C summers, is it still worth
keeping? I know it's a silly question, but when I get a new bag of
henna powder, I can't help but use that lot, and I think I have the
snowball effect happening. I have only recently learn't about
keeping the henna in the fridge...
