: does petroleum jelly take it off? Try it and find out...and tell us. When I was experimenting with peel-masks, the Alpha Hydroxy type seemed to dissolve the New Skin. I did a quick experiment and saw no difference in color between the half of a design where I used the alphy-hyd. as a solvent (put it on, let it sit a minute or three, wiped it off) and the side where I peeled off the new skin - but it was a small design, not very dark (old henna), and I may have been sloppy when I wiped the mask goo off. (An alpha-hyd. mask *will* exfoliate the upper layer of skin - with henna - if used normally.) I'm not currently using the spray new-skin or peel masks because it's too COLD. (Too cold to ventilate the spray, too cold for the mask to dry in a reasonable time.) So, I'm not likely to re-try the experiment very soon.
