I was reading a book on early palmestry, and it saying that in India palmistry was very highly regarded as an art. In paintings and sculptures of Gods/Goddesses the artist was always sure to make the palms lines and symbols in no way resemble lines found on real life palms so as not to predcit their fate. I was wondering if any of the "palm lines and designs" ever found their way into henna traditions, as some of the designs you see on sculptures and paintings are barely more than a line or two, but they are definately done with henna as they are shown red..Has anyone ever read this, Is there a conection do you think?
