I asked Roy what siege Josephus or Juvenal would have covered , and he
said it would have been Masada. In that case, it is also possible that
the henna was part of those people preparing themselves for death. It
is not unusual for there to be a tradition that a deceased person be
hennaed "that when they appear before the Angels Examinants, they may
