212-807-6441 has "The Painted Bride" which is a lovely documentary
video about a Pakistani Mehandi artist in Queens, her hennaeing work
and her own henna party for her wedding. Blockbuster and such have
Kama Sutra which has a nice hennaeing scene, and red hands all over
the place.
Using a video in class, generally.....it can be good, or not....just
like high school, student's attention tends to wander when the film
goes on....if you can impart all the same information without the
video, it makes a better lecture.....How much hard information do you
have on hennaeing and how well can you hold the attention of a group
of people? If you're not an experienced lecturer, or if you're short
on info...do get the video.
