Do a web search for an artist named Jim Fitzpatrick. He does
illustrated books, greeting cards, paintings. His style is quite
comic book, but beautiful.

On some of the modern Irish coins (I can't remember which ones) there
is the image of Cuchulainn tied to a rock with a raven sitting on his
shoulder. Apparently this is a statue somewhere in Ireland, as well.
