i picked up some several years ago and tried it
for mehndi, just leaves a faint grey stain that
goes away in a couple of days. was before all
the info on black henna/hair dye/ppd was here.
i did have ok results with California Fields brand
red henna (green powder)....... ditch the black
and get some red !!!
