Black Henna Powder?

I recently acquired a jar of Black Henna powder at a middleastern
store. I know of all the horror stoies about black henna, but the
problems I have heard of are from premix pastes..Has anyone ever
heard of this powder or had any experience with it? The name on it
is "California Fields" and it is distributed by B.M.E. INC. in CA,
91352...That is the extent of the info on the label. Nothing states
ingredients...It looks and smells like regular henna. Anyone have any
ideas? Thanks.
