That is definitely a cool concept. I advocate getting as much info as possible. Costs, time commitment, etc. How much is the rent? How many clients do you have to see to make back that rent? You will definitely need business insurance in a real space, and there are also costs involved in decorating and maintaining an inviting space. How much time would you need to invest to make it a profitable venture? Do you have a comfortable day-job? Perhaps you could share a space with other folks (dance teacher, yoga instructor, etc.) and pool resources so the rent is half or less -- and also your partner's students might be potential henna clients... Since you haven't gone "pro", yet, try festivals, fairs, private clients, etc. Private clients have the cheapest overhead, but also it takes time to build up a steady, addicted clientele. (I know I don't have one that can suppport me enough to quit the old day job...) Fairs and festivals often have vendor fees, and lots require you to bring your own table, chairs, tents, but these are easily borrowed in a pinch (or rented from a party store) and you have the potential of hennaing hundreds of people... There's nothing like having a long line of impatient teens at a concert waiting for YOU to henna them to hone your skills! Good luck to you!
