A hand held garment steamer ($10 in the local appliance aisle .... designed for travellers who want to remove the wrinkles in their clothing without ironing) is FANTASTIC for darkening henna that has been unwrapped but not yet removed ..... and loosens up all the NS at the same time. Just use the steamer on your hennaed skin the same as you would use it to remove wrinkles. Be careful not to burn yourself. Steam burns really suck. Be patient ... because the more you steam, the darker your henna and the more easily the NS all comes off. A hand held steamer gets to legs and feet better than lofting your leg over the teakettle on the stove.
