I mentioned this in an earlier post, but you can also make your own stencils pretty easily and more cheaply than rubber stamps...that way you can make your templates several different sizes depending on your needs. You can get a stencil burner (like a very pointy soldering iron) for about $20 and frisket (clear thin plastic that you cut into stencils - also comes with adhesive backing) for about $10 a roll (all at Pearl Paint in their airbrush section). These supplies are used by body artists. Because the frisket is clear you put the design your are copying under a piece of glass, then put the sheet of frisket on top of that and burn your stencil. I haven't done this yet, though I have bought the supplies. I plan to make stencils for friends, for my henna kits and any custom requests. They could easily be made to use as templates: circles, cross hairs, points on a compass for mandalas. Also, you can use them for those complicated knot designs. I will report back to the forum once i have tried making the stencils.
