Yes, I learnt using a syringe, in fact that's how it's customarily
done in Morocco (where I trained). Clogging can drive you up the
wall, but as long as you have got the knack of getting the
consistency right and the henna is of good enough quality (difficult
to find in UK) the syringe is excellent for achieving really
intricate designs. However, when I've done public sittings people
can tend to be put off when they see the syringe from afar if they
don't know much about henna. It's amazing how many people think
designs are permanent because of it.
