does a 'natural' henna causeany burns?

I have brought some hanna which is manually made,I mean it contains no chemical substancesin it.
It is just pure henna powder.What do u think,will it cause any burns?
One more thing,what can i use to tatoo on my skin a hanna tatoo?Could u please answer me.
