It is extremely unlikely that you will have any problem with natural henna. Natural henna does not penetrate into the living tissue on a healthy adult. It just hangs out there in the dead layer of your skin , not causing any difficulties. Don't bother trying to tattoo with henna. Not only is it not sterile (do remember what happened last time you got a dirty splinter under your skin?) but is has an unpleasant way of spreading in living tissue so any piercing will not result in a finite spot of color but a small poorly controled blotch of brown, looking like a sad little splat. Henna also is harsh on red blood cells. Henna just is totally unsuitable for tattooing.
