: Maybe this is getting too picky, but I wonder if it has something to : do with the kind of honey you used. You know, whether is was heat : pasturized or not etc. Who knows. In Morocco, they used sugar in : the henna they did on my feet...the henna definitely didn't crack and : it took FOREVER to dry (about 5 hours) LOL! I did wonder about the honey but then thought maybe that was silly. I have used sugar before and I think it cracked too. Was the sugar they used in Morocco raw or processed? If the honey makes a difference sugar might too. Last time I used sugar I boiled it in with the coffee. It made the texture of the paste very sticky and when it was time to remove the paste the next morning it was hard as a rock and glued to my skin. It was hard to get off even though it had been wrapped the night before to keep it moist. Even after applying oil it took a lot of effort to remove. I'll have to find a picture of the toothpick henna. Where you the person who said in Morocco they put a paste of ammonia crystals over the henna? Do they wait until the paste is off? Does it burn as bad as household ammonia? Natalie
