Well, my Indian friend went to the local Indian grocery and had henna stamps done on her hands. Here's how she said they worked: A red "henna-ink" was squeezed onto an ink pad. The stamp was then stamped onto the pad, and then stamped onto her skin. The designs were beautiful, but the color lacked the authentic "henna" look to it. It looked a bit like a red crayola marker. The designs faded in about 2 days, and now there's hardly a trace...
