I usually mix my paste in a mortar and pestle...I do not grind the
henna but use the weight of the pestle to get rid of those lumps that
form when liquid meets powder and balls up. I start with the powder,
adding abound 1/3 of the liquid needed, mix this up completely; then
I add more liquid, mix it completely, add more, mix completely etc.
until I get to the final consistency that I want. I get much better
results this way than if I put in all the liquid at once.
