Most of what is in here are tips that I picked up : from people here anyway. Here it is: : : "After-care instructions : : To ensure that your henna design comes out dark and lasts a long time, : just remember your M.A.T.H.: : : Moisture: : - keep the paste moist by wrapping it up well; this traps your body : heat and moisture : - at night, wear a sock, glove or ace bandage over it : : Acidity: : - the lemon juice in the paste will contribute acidity; the : lemon-sugar mixture also helps...keep dabbing it on occasionally : before you wrap : : Time: : - keep the henna in contact with your skin as long as possible, about : 6-12 hours; sleeping with the henna paste on is best : - you will be rewarded for your patience! : : Heat: : - while the paste is on, keep the area warm by wrapping it up well : - for designs on the stomach or back, put a heating pad over the area : : The day after: : - steam the area for 5-10 min. over a sink or basin filled with : boiling water - this loosens the paste so you can scrape it off with : your fingernails or a blunt knife (do not use water to remove, try : rubbing it off with oil) : - do not get the design wet for 1 day after applying it - rub a : little oil over the area before showering and don’t scrub the area or : ge
