I recently had a black henna tatoo-no reaction, but could it still be dangerous?

I was recently in Venice Beach, California and had a black henna
tatoo. The guy that did the tatoo assured me that it was natural,
but it was black and it only took about an hour to dye my skin. I
haven't had a reaction, but I have read your warnings page. How can
I tell if this has affected my body internally if there's no
