Re: getting decent stains on hard to dye parts of the bodyPosted by jennifer on July 17, 2001 at 06:41:46: In reply to: getting decent stains on hard to dye parts of the body posted by Anne in CT on July 16, 2001 at 23:16:56: once, and only once did i come across someone who couldn't get hennato stain their skin very well. i did a welsh dragon on his arm and he walked around with it for at least 3 hours but he came back the next day and there was nothing there. needless to say, he was upset. i offered to do it again for free or give him his money back. he ask if i was using a different batch and i was, so he asked for me to do it again. which i did. he was back the next day and nothing. i offered his money back but he was very nice and told me no, to keep it. we ended with him staying for quite a long time discussing the situation and henna in general. i talked him into getting one done on the palm of his hand when we were slow and he called the next day to say it kind of stained, but nothing like he saw on his girlfriend's skin. i talked to him a couple of months later when they stopped by and he had gotten a tattoo. his girlfriend said she was staying with henna, she didn't like watching him get his, too painful. jennifer : Hej, : : This morning I did a design on the lower back of a friend. I used : Castle Art henna mixed with lemon juice, cloves and frankinsence : (sp?) oil, did a few coats of lemon juice/sugar over it, then wrapped : it up well. (This same batch gave me killer stains pretty much : anywhere I tried it.) She kept the paste on for six hours, but when : she unwrapped, there was no stain - not even a hint of one. I know : this area is hard to dye, but I thought we'd get something. : : I'm mixing up a new batch of henna and will try again later, maybe : Wednesday or Thursday. Any advice on what to do differently? : : Thanks much, : : Anne
