It's where you take a white: crayon and draw on it, then dip the egg in dye, and everything stains : except where you drew. : : I'm wondering, is there a substance you could put on your skin to do : the same thing with henna? I just read something about drawing the designs with a paste made from sugar and lime juice, leaving the paste to dry completely and then dipping the hand in henna for a reversed design on a hennaed background. The book doesn't give any further description than this and no pictures. I wonder if the sugar paste could really be thick enough to resist the henna? Don't you think the henna might just re- wet the paste and make a mess? I don't know, but I have wanted to try some sort of resist technique for a while. I'd love to hear the results of anyone's experiments. Lara
