side by side of Tea Tree and Pine oil and the Tea Tree was definitely
darker. I weighed out the proportions on a balance so the amount of
henna paste and oil used in both batches was exactly the same.
Designs were done using both batches on the same hand and left on for
about an hour. I have been using Pine oil and it has definitely
helped but I guess I will be using Tea Tree now. I may still add a
little Pine oil just to cover up the funky smell of Tea Tree.

What amazes me is CCJ’s comment that leaving the paste on for an hour
resulted in a stain that was no different from the paste that was
left on for 5 hours. Wow! Is this universally true if one uses a
lot of terpineols in the mix? Most exciting!
