I have spent most of the summer explaining the difference between
henna and body painting because a few unscrupulous body painters a
bit down the road have a huge sign that reads "Henna Tattoos last 21
Days"!!! They don't have henna they use cheap body paints, poorly
done, which last about a day! And their sign used to say 15 days,
but since other people put up signs that said 15 days, they changed
theirs to 21! Then there are 2 or 3 other stands with a variety of
Black Hennas, none of which apparently are PPD'd but with mystery
ingredients which they won't reveal, and mixed results, which
sometimes wash away or turn a pale natural henna color.....
I have been offering BOTH natural henna and Navaid's black henna for
most of the season, at the same price. I prefer working with natural
henna, and often convince people to try it by telling them it lasts
longer. I've been getting good results in general, but the public
often clamors for black, black, black. So I give it to them.
Anyway, thanks to all for the invaluable help, information, and
company on late nights after tattooing....
