It was USSR that tried to occupy it by force, not the USA. Saying “we lended (sic) a hand in creating a monster” is implying that that USA is somehow responsible for the Sept 11 attack. “our aid was a way of slightly mollifying that guilt” is wrong. If the USA offers aid as an act of kindness, not out of guilt. That just is not true. Do you really believe the government of the USA would perform an act of aid because of guilt? Your saying they feel no guilt to say, bomb innocents, but then maybe feel they did something wrong and should give them money. No Ma’am, it is an act of kindness for them to give aid with the hopes of helping the citizens onto the road of democracy. Who is being silly?
