DOMINATE the interview, and keepit moving quickly in the direction YOU want it to go! Know before you walk into that studio exactly what you want to accomplish. You'll likely have an adrenalin rush .. make sure you go into "fight" mode rather than "flight" mode. Know everything forwards, backward, inbetween and upside down. Being in camera is disorienting. I don't recommend watching the show when sober. Seeing yourself on the little box is generally withering. Other people, however, may congradulate you on a job well done. Listen to them. My husband was a professional newsman once, my daughter is presently in charge of shooting vids and has been filmed many times. Both have given me excellent advice. Gwyn sez: park yourself so your body is profile or 3/4 to the camera. If you have your torso square to the camera, you'll instantly gain 20 pounds. Face the camera, or wherever, but make sure your torso is at an angle to the camera if you don't want to feel you need to eat spiders, grape peels and tofu for months afterwards.
