henna safety during pregnancy

Hi,
I'm in my ninth month of pregnancy and want to have a henna tattoo on my belly before the birth of my baby. I've heard of other mothers doing this, but want to make sure I'm not doing anything that could affect my baby adversly. I also want something to tell my doctor when he sees the enormous design at my next appointment!
