  Sirius International Henna Conferences

Catherine Cartwright Jones has been the organizer and director of the Sirius International Henna Conferences since the first conference at Sirius Rising in 1999. The purpose of these conferences is to bring together henna artists to exchange information and techniques in a friendly, cooperative, relaxed but intensely productive interchange.

These conferences have provided great leaps forward in henna knowledge and practice not only for the participants but for henna artists everywhere:

The expansion of the Henna Page, and revision of the FAQ was begun at Sirius Henna Conference 1999.

The organized and well-researched information campaign against PPD use in "black henna" began at the Sirius Henna Conference in 2000.

Extensive terpene testing, at Sirius Henna Conference 2001, resulted in the discovery and free, public release of safe, ultra-dark, quick staining henna mixes.

Catherine provides lectures at the Sirius International Henna Conferences from her extensive ongoing research, as well as lectures from additional presenters.

The conferences are a combination of intense learning and information exchange and a camping/pyjama party! http://www.tapdancinglizard.com/mehandi/sirius/ They are always surprising, always fun! We hope you'll join us in the future!
