Just got henna from India-testing begins!

So my friend brought me back a KILO of henna from some market in
India. Never seen such a pile of green! Real earthy smell, but kind
of sticky. My hand is sore from sifting, as well.

Right after mixing with just lemon juice, I put a small spot on the
back of my hand and left for an hour, no setting solution.

Already a light brownish orange stain! I never see color that fast,
but I have so far only used Al-Aroosa brand henna bought from Indian
grocery stores, which I suspect is pretty old by the time I get it.

I will do another test tomorrow, after the paste has set overnight.

I wish I could read the package, but it's all in Hindi!
