There is more than one form of ppd. I have heard more than one opinion of whether it causes an allergic dermatitus, severe dermatitus, or chemical burn. I am not an MD. I can't define the name of blistering, oozing and potential organ damage. However, indigo does not cause that sort of reaction. PPD does. You probably had a mild reaction to ppd, and whether it is a moderate dermatitus or severe, depends on the time of exposure, heat, and the porosity of your skin. Can you contact the person who did this to you and tell them that they are seriously endangering their own health by using one of the forms of ppd? Can you contact the owner of the establishment where this was done and tell them that a transdermal toxin is being used that can kill the artist and harm the clients? Check the link below. It's a MOTHER. You almost certainly do NOT have a problem with HENNA because it is NOT transdermal. PPD is!
