I've noticed that the designs with the camphor spirits in the paste got very dark, and then disappeared faster than usual. When I used the camphor spirits as a prep, the designs got very dark and seem to be lasting the usual amount of time...tonight I will try using white flower oil as prep. This year is supposed to be the PEAK year for the Leonid meteor shower. The next time it'll be this good will be in 33 years. The best time to view is after Leo rises -- around midnight, but the meteors are actually showering all the time so you have the chance to see them any time it's dark. After tonight, the comet (the meteors are actually debris from the comet's tail) starts to head back out away from the sun and earth and the meteors will drop off sharply. SO if you missed them last night, see them tonight! --this message brought to you by the Astronomy department of the University of Texas at Austin...
