Henna on the chest - lightness alert

I let my boyfriend do one of his tribal motifs on my chest yesterday (using CastleArt, lime juice and a wee bit of tea - the achingly simple mehandi.com mixture that works so well) and it came out lovely after an overnight wrap. Lovely, that is, but for the color... it's a light orange!!! It was under wraps, so to speak, for 9+ hours... and my palms go auburn after like six hours, so I'm wondering. Yes, I know thin skin habitually stains pretty light, but I was hoping for at least chocolate color... I find that scotch tape is ITCHY on sensitive skin areas and I had hoped all the itchiness would be well worth it ;). I bought the henna about a month ago - should I just call up Amy again and get some more? I still have lots left in the cone, and unmixed (still green and rather fresh-smelling) powder, and I'm hoping I don't have to trash it all. Should I just go over the design again a few more times? By the way, is there a less itchy tape to seal the edges of the wrap? I'm not eagerly anticipating trying liquid latex, and I'm still undecided on the NewSkin concept. Scotch tape is rather narrow...
