Terped paste success ... the spaghetti sauce paradigm, and a question for Zimra and ShanonPosted by Catherine Cartwright Jones on September 9, 2001 at 15:13:44: Everyone has a slightly different way to make spaghetti sauce ....that gets them good results. You can write this all down, and hand it to your friend, and they won't come up with exactly the same taste. Also ... when you move from one kitchen to another, your same old spaghetti sauce suddenly tastes different and you can't quite get it that way again ... so you have to experiment a but until you get one that suits you again. I think the spaghetti sauce paradigm may be operative in the terped pastes. Because terped pastes are tenfold more complex than henna/lemon/wrap there are far more ways for it to go astray ... BUT ... I know I'm NOT the only one getting killer results, because I've had emails and such from others who are succeeding with this. So.... Perhaps more patience and persistance is needed for each person to get the results required (everyone has to fiddle in their own kitchen to get the sauce right), and after all, we've only fiddled for a month and a half with this, so there's bound to be room for improvement. Should people who are having difficulties simply perservere? OR>>>>> Is there something I'm doing that I'm not aware of, and haven't communicated properly? This would be for Zimra and Shanon to answer, because they've watched me mix and sling all summer. ???? Did I get the Sirius Mixes written up properly? Am I missing something? It seems absurd to assume that I've cut some deal with God to get magically, inexplicably better results than everyone else. So, how do we get to other people getting comparible results to mine ... OR ... do we just deal with the fact that this is a complex, tweeky, sort of alchemic art form, people will come up with a range of results, and each has to be responsible for fine-tuning their own mix? Or am I just lucky?
